Team GC exists to bring women together mothers and daughters, sisters and friends, neighbours and strangers who are ready to step beyond their comfort zones and experience the world in a more meaningful way.

A Personal Journey, Led by Our Founder
Founded in 2016 by Shadi Ganjavian-Connor, a mother of two, Team GC is built on something truly unique.
Shadi personally leads every single expedition.
This means every journey is not only expertly guided, but also deeply personal creating a level of support, connection, and trust that you won’t find anywhere else in adventure travel.
Her presence transforms each trip into more than just an adventure it becomes a shared experience of growth, empowerment, and genuine human connection.

Since 2016, Team GC has brought together over 90 women from across Europe, Africa, and North America to take on unforgettable challenges in extraordinary locations. From the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro to the Atlas Mountains and the vast Sinai Desert, each expedition is designed to inspire courage, resilience, and connection.

“Shadi is an ambassador for Imagine This, and has achieved an extraordinary amount for our charity, bringing us very much closer to our goal of building a much-needed new children’s Emergency Department at University Hospital Southampton, which will serve most of the South of England. In 2017, not only did she personally raise close to £30,000 from feats as varied as climbing the Matterhorn, holding motivational speaking events, and competing in a Zumbathon, but she has subsequently gone on to continue raising hundreds of thousands of pounds, annually, by team expeditions and endeavours - spreading the message about what we are doing far and wide, all the whilst inspiring countless others to raise money, donate and volunteer for our cause. Her tiny but tough frame contains a heart the size of Hampshire, and enough grit to keep every road in Britain free of snow! She’s one of the kindest, most decent, tenacious and charismatic people I’ve ever had the privilege to meet - a true role model.”
